My name is Chan Elizabeth Adam-Danforth, I’m the face (and curls!) behind Portland Curl Room. I was inspired to become a curly hair specialist after having an incredible dry curl cut. This led me to enroll in beauty school and start the journey of learning the basics of precision haircutting and styling, I then completed a year and a half apprentice program to learn the art of dry cutting curly hair.

In the summer of 2020 I founded Portland Curl Room. After over 9 years in the industry, I can proudly say that cutting curls is not just a job for me, it’s a calling and a love language. I am committed to empowering people to embrace their natural beauty, and I hope to make every person in my chair leave feeling listened to, taken care of, and confident.
